Terms of Service
Draft for review — last updated 30 June 2026. Effective date: [effective date to be confirmed].
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of YeahApp, the community operating system for mission-driven networks, together with this website (yeahapp.co) and the YeahApp application at app.yeahapp.co (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Elevatech Oy, a limited company (osakeyhtiö) registered in Finland under business ID (Y-tunnus) 3417825-3, with its registered address at Mannerheiminaukio 1, 00100 Helsinki, Finland (“YeahApp”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and “you” refers to that organisation.
These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
1. What YeahApp is
YeahApp is a platform for running mission-driven networks and communities. It brings member directories, events, forms, memberships, and ticketing into one place. We provide the software and infrastructure that lets community managers operate their communities; we do not run those communities ourselves.
YeahApp is a tool. The communities, events, memberships, and content created on the Service belong to the people who create them. We are not the organiser of any event, the seller of any ticket, or a party to any membership arrangement between a community and its members, except where these Terms say otherwise (for example, our own subscription fees and platform transaction fees).
2. Definitions
- Account — a personal user account on YeahApp. Creating one costs nothing.
- Community — a workspace created and operated by an Owner. Each Community has its own paid subscription.
- Owner — the user who creates a Community and holds its paid subscription. The Owner is the customer for that Community’s subscription.
- Manager — a user with elevated rights in a Community (a Community Admin or a Moderator). The Owner is always treated as a Community Admin.
- Member — a user who has joined a Community.
- Participant — a person who registers for or attends an event, whether or not they hold an Account.
- Buyer — a person who purchases a ticket or a paid membership.
- Content — anything uploaded, posted, or submitted to the Service: profiles, posts, comments, events, forms, form responses, files, and member data.
- Subscription — a Community’s annual paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Business).
- Platform Fee — the percentage fee we charge on ticket transactions, resolved by the Community’s tier.
3. Eligibility and accounts
Age. You must be at least 16 years old to create an Account. If the law in your country sets a higher age of digital consent, that higher age applies. If you are under the applicable age, you may only use the Service with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Account security. You are responsible for your login credentials and for all activity under your Account. Keep your password confidential and notify us promptly at support@yeahapp.co if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date. You may sign in with email and password or through a supported third-party login (for example, Google); your use of a third-party login is also subject to that provider’s terms.
One Account. Accounts are personal. You may own and operate as many Communities as you wish under a single Account.
4. Communities, roles, and responsibilities
YeahApp uses a two-layer role system:
- Platform roles apply across the Service. Most users are standard users; platform administrators (YeahApp staff) have access for support, moderation, and operations.
- Community roles apply within a single Community: Community Admin, Moderator, and Member. The Owner always has full control of their Community regardless of stored role, and roles are scoped per Community — rights in one Community do not carry over to another.
Owners and Managers are responsible for their Community. If you create or manage a Community, you are responsible for the lawfulness of your Community and its events, memberships, and content; the way you collect, use, and share the personal data of your Members and Participants (see Section 14); honouring what you promise to your Members and Participants, including membership benefits, event delivery, and refunds you choose to grant; and complying with all laws that apply to your activities, including tax, consumer-protection, event-licensing, and data-protection laws.
YeahApp gives you tools, not legal cover. We are not responsible for how you run your Community or for disputes between you and your Members or Participants.
5. Subscriptions, plans, and pricing
Accounts cost nothing; Communities are paid. Creating an Account carries no charge. To create and operate a Community, you choose a plan and pay through Stripe Checkout. The Community is created once payment succeeds.
Where the Service is available. Anyone may create an Account and browse YeahApp from anywhere. At launch, however, creating and operating a paid Community — and connecting a Stripe account to receive payouts — is available only to organisers based in supported European countries: the 27 EU member states plus the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Gibraltar. Iceland is not currently supported. We may add or remove supported countries over time; the list that applies is the one in effect when you create a Community or connect a payout account.
Plans. YeahApp offers three annual plans, billed in euros (EUR):
| Plan | Price | Member cap | Sub-communities | Ticket fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | €99 / year | 200 | 3 | 6% |
| Pro | €249 / year | 500 | 12 | 3% |
| Business | €499 / year | Unlimited | Unlimited | 1.5% |
Member caps and sub-community limits apply across a Community and all of its branches combined. Higher tiers unlock additional capabilities such as paid memberships, open contributions, promo codes, and CSV export. Current plan details, limits, and prices are shown at checkout and on our pricing page, and form part of these Terms.
Annual, per Community. Each Community has its own Subscription and its own annual charge. We do not offer monthly billing for Communities. Members who join a Community pay nothing to YeahApp for use of the platform itself.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each year at the then-current price, on the Community’s renewal date, using your payment method on file, unless you cancel before renewal. By subscribing, you authorise these recurring annual charges.
Upgrades take effect immediately; Stripe charges the prorated difference for the remainder of the current period, and your renewal date does not change. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, are not prorated, and do not produce a refund — you keep your current tier and its limits until the end of the paid period. You may cancel a scheduled downgrade before the renewal date.
6. Past-due, cancellation, and reactivation
You can cancel a Community’s Subscription at any time from its billing settings (powered by the Stripe Customer Portal). On cancellation, the Community stays fully active until the end of the paid annual period.
When the paid period ends after cancellation — or when payment fails and Stripe’s automatic retries are exhausted — the Community becomes read-only for everyone, including the Owner. Existing data is preserved: events, members, posts, ticket history, and memberships remain intact, and existing paying Members keep access to content they already paid for. What stops: creating new events and forms, selling new tickets, accepting new form submissions, and inviting new Members.
While a payment is failing and Stripe is retrying, the Community is marked Past Due and behaves the same as read-only. Updating your card in the Stripe Customer Portal clears the failed invoice and reactivates the Community immediately. You can reactivate a cancelled or lapsed Community at any time by subscribing again, with no data loss.
7. Platform transaction fees
When tickets are sold through YeahApp, we charge a Platform Fee on each transaction. The fee is resolved from the Community’s active tier at the time of purchase (Starter 6%, Pro 3%, Business 1.5%) and is shown as a separate line item — it is not baked into the ticket price. Communities without an active paid Subscription are treated at the highest fee tier and with paid features disabled. Platform Fees are non-refundable, including where a ticket is later refunded to the Buyer.
8. Payments and Stripe
All payments on YeahApp are processed by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or handle card numbers. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy.
Organiser payouts (Stripe Connect). To receive ticket revenue, Owners connect a Stripe Express account through onboarding. Connect onboarding is available only to organisers based in the supported European countries listed in Section 5. Stripe handles identity and verification, and payouts are only enabled once Stripe confirms the account is fully activated. Connect actions for a Community (setup, unlinking) are restricted to the Community Owner, because the connected account is bound to that individual.
Payout timing for events. Ticket purchase funds are held until two (2) days after an event ends, at which point the payout is released to the organiser’s connected account. This window exists to allow last-minute refunds before funds are transferred. Refunds cannot be processed through the platform once a payout has been released.
Taxes. You are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting any taxes (including VAT) that apply to the tickets, memberships, contributions, or other charges you set for your Members and Participants. We do not act as your tax agent. Our own Subscription fees and Platform Fees may be subject to VAT, which will be shown where applicable.
9. Memberships, tickets, and contributions you sell
You set the terms. Membership prices, billing cycles, trial and grace periods, ticket types, promo codes, and event details are configured and controlled by you, the organiser. The arrangement to deliver what you sell is between you and your Members or Participants; YeahApp is not a party to it.
Recurring memberships. Paid memberships are recurring Stripe subscriptions charged by your Community to your Members. Members manage their subscriptions through the Stripe Customer Portal, and a Member who cancels keeps access until the end of their paid period.
Ticket identity and transfers. Attendee identity is locked at the time of purchase and cannot be changed afterward. YeahApp does not support in-platform ticket transfers or resale, and does not verify that the person presenting a ticket matches the name on it; admission policy is valid code, first scan admits.
Event delivery and cancellation. You are responsible for delivering your events. If you cancel an event, all ticket purchases for that event are refunded to Buyers automatically, subject to the payout timing in Section 8.
10. Refunds
Community Subscriptions are non-refundable. Because Community plans are billed annually, paying for a plan commits you to that year. Cancelling early is fine — you keep access until the period ends — but we do not refund the unused portion. This applies to changes of mind, plan switches, and deciding not to use the Service. We offer a guided demo so you can evaluate YeahApp before subscribing. The only exception is a genuine duplicate charge or a billing error on Stripe’s or our side; contact support@yeahapp.co with your invoice ID.
Event ticket refunds. Paid events follow a universal refund process: a Buyer may submit a refund request, and the organiser reviews and decides whether to approve or deny it. No refund is issued until the organiser approves. Approved refunds return to the Buyer’s original payment method, minus the non-refundable Platform Fee, and are only possible while the funds are still held by the platform (see the payout window in Section 8).
Memberships. There is no platform refund process for paid memberships. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Any goodwill refund is at the organiser’s discretion and arranged between the organiser and the Member.
Disputes and chargebacks. If you start a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting us, the affected Community may be set to read-only immediately and may be cancelled depending on the outcome, and any Stripe dispute fees may be passed on to you. Please contact support@yeahapp.co first — we can usually resolve issues faster than a bank dispute.
11. Consumer right of withdrawal (EU/Finland)
If you are a consumer in the EU (including under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act), you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services.
Waiver for immediate access. YeahApp is supplied as digital content and online services that begin immediately. When you subscribe to a Community plan, purchase a ticket, or start a paid membership, you expressly request that performance begins right away and you acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed (or once a Community has been created and made available to you), you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal to the extent permitted by law. You give this consent at checkout.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights that cannot be waived under Finnish or EU consumer law. Business customers (acting for purposes related to their trade, business, or profession) do not have a consumer right of withdrawal.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- post or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, obscene, or that depicts or facilitates the exploitation of minors;
- run an event, membership, or community for an illegal purpose, including unlicensed gambling, the sale of regulated or prohibited goods, or money laundering;
- upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or scan our systems, or disrupt the Service;
- scrape, harvest, or enumerate user data, or access data you are not entitled to;
- circumvent role permissions, tier limits, Platform Fees, or any access controls;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation; or
- resell, white-label, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts and Communities that breach this section.
13. Your content and licence
You keep your rights. You and your Community retain ownership of the Content you create or upload. We do not claim ownership of it.
Licence to operate the Service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence, with no royalty owed, to host, store, copy, display, transmit, and process your Content solely to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and to provide it to you and your Members and Participants. This licence ends when the relevant Content is deleted, except for residual copies in routine backups and where retention is required by law.
Your responsibilities. You represent that you have the rights needed to upload your Content and grant the licence above, and that your Content does not infringe third-party rights or violate these Terms. You are responsible for backing up Content that matters to you. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
14. Data protection and privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. In summary: we act as data controller for your Account data and your use of the Service, and as a data processor for the member-directory data that an Owner collects and manages inside their Community — there, the organising community is the controller and we process that data on its instructions under our Data Processing terms.
If you operate a Community, you must have a lawful basis to process the personal data of your Members and Participants, provide them with the required privacy information, honour their data-subject requests, and use their data only for legitimate community purposes. You must not use member data to spam, sell to third parties, or for purposes your Members did not agree to.
You can access and correct your Account information, export the data we hold about you, and delete your Account. Account deletion anonymises or removes your personal data and cascades through memberships, event history, submissions, and sessions, subject to legal retention requirements and the integrity of records others rely on (for example, financial records and another organiser’s attendee lists). We do not sell your data, and we do not use the data in your communities to train AI models. Under an Enterprise arrangement, a customer may provision and own the underlying data layer, with data export in standard formats and no extraction fees; Enterprise terms are set out in a separate written agreement.
15. Marketplace apps
YeahApp may offer optional add-on apps that extend a Community’s capabilities. Paid apps are billed as additional line items on the Community’s existing Subscription and charged prorated when installed; some apps are included at no charge on certain tiers. Installing or uninstalling an app is a Manager action. Uninstalling stops future charges and blocks new writes to the app, while historical data the app produced may remain readable. App-specific terms, where they exist, apply in addition to these Terms.
16. Availability, support, and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an “as available” basis and do not guarantee that operation will be uninterrupted or without errors. We may perform maintenance and may modify, add, or remove features over time. Support is provided by email at support@yeahapp.co; Business-tier Communities receive priority support and, where stated, a dedicated account manager. Any service-level commitments beyond this apply only where set out in a separate written agreement.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, cancel a Community Subscription from its billing settings, and delete your Account from your settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, or remove Content, if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create legal or security risk for us or others, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the platform. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure; we may act immediately for serious breaches such as illegal content, fraud, or security threats.
On termination of your Account, your right to use the Service ends. Lapsed or cancelled Communities follow the read-only and reactivation rules in Section 6. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including fees owed, the Content licence for residual copies, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive.
18. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, secure, or without errors, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any Community, organiser, Member, or Participant, or for any event, membership, ticket, payout, or transaction between them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (€100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Finnish or EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any mandatory consumer rights. If you are a consumer, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
19. Indemnification
If you operate a Community or otherwise use the Service in the course of a trade or business, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Elevatech Oy and its staff from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of your Content, your events or memberships, your handling of Member or Participant data, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law. This section does not apply to consumers acting outside a trade or business.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, the law, or our business. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice — for example, by email or an in-app notice — before it takes effect. Changes to prices or plan features apply from your next renewal unless we say otherwise. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the Service and cancel before the change takes effect.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where a consumer resides.
Consumers. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You may also refer a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services, and EU consumers may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Businesses. For all other users, the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), Finland, has exclusive jurisdiction.
22. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, plan details shown at checkout, and any separate written agreement (for example, Enterprise or Data Processing terms), are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Language. These Terms are provided in English. If we provide a translation and there is a conflict, the English version prevails unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
23. Contact
For any question about these Terms, contact us at support@yeahapp.co, or by post to Elevatech Oy, Mannerheiminaukio 1, 00100 Helsinki, Finland.
